Empty input boxes should stay empty

Detailed Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to Prompts
2. Go to Custom Instructions for All Modes
3. Clear the box if there's something in it
4. Text 'undefined' will appear there. It is editable as text (e.g. I can press Backspace a few times and get to 'undef').

Additional Context

This is a regression in 3.16.4, probably introduced by fixing a bug with cursor jumping around in these fields.

weird, i never encountered this even though my custom instruction is always empty, will try to investigate later. there might be some undefined->string conversion on the code
feel free to assign me on this one
