Gonna be blunt here, revisiting ROO just a year later: AI provider selection is a mess.
It badly needs a separation/categorization, i.e. what's paid, what's free, what's local, what's actually recent and decent, and what should be avoided, etc.

I'm exploring a potential fix for improving the AI model provider categorization and will open a PR to share progress. The goal is to add clear categorization for paid/free, local/cloud, and quality indicators to make provider selection more intuitive.

Opened a PR with my attempt at addressing this issue: #8619

The implementation adds a comprehensive provider categorization system with:

• Visual organization by deployment type (Cloud ☁️, Local 💻, Hybrid 🔄)
• Pricing transparency badges (Free, Paid, Freemium)
• Quality indicators (Premium, Standard, Experimental, Deprecated)
• Collapsible groups for better navigation
• Detailed metadata for all 50+ providers

Note: There are some test failures in the CI that may need attention from maintainers. Feedback welcome!
