Incremental Construction
To maintain effective time management and have a clear idea of our responsibilities as a team, construction goals have been set for the remaining milestones. The following outlines the goals for each milestone:
- Milestone 2:
- Milestone 3:
- Milestone 4:
Milestone 2
At the end of Milestone 2 we have written the necessary code to set the stage for our Mr. ED web application. We first divided into teams of 2 with one team working on the front-end setup and the other dealing with the back-end and database. As a group, the decision was made to use use ReactJS for the front-end, Python for the back-end and MongoDB for the database. The front-end team has successfully created a webpage with a simple Mr.Ed header and a hamburger drop down menu with 3 options: Home, Register and Login. The appearance of the webpage is professional and clean due to the use of bootstrap. The back-end team has successfully implemented the login APIs however, they are not yet connected to the database or front-end. We initially intended on creating a connection between the front-end, back-end and database of our Mr. ED project by the end of Milestone 2.
This milestone is one of three major design and construction sprints. Your system is not expected to be complete at the end of milestone 2, but defined parts of it should be implemented (Coded). Make sure that you deliberately plan the parts that you want to finish in this "sprint" and code, respectively.
On your wiki, include a page "Incremental Construction" where you describe the construction goals for the three sprints (Milestone 2, Milestone 3 and Milestone 4). Before submission, report what was achieved regarding the Milestone 2 goals and which adjustments you had to shift to Milestone 3 goals (if any). Be prepared to demo your Milestone 2 results and code in the lab.
