FineBuild can Configure the General Properties available in SSMS for the SQL Server Instance.

The SQL Instance General properties should be reviewed to confirm that the Edition of SQL Server that is installed is what you expect.

FineBuild Configure SQL Instance General Properties

The SQL Instance General Properties configuration relates to Process Id 5BD and is controlled by the parameters below:

In order to maintain compatibility with older versions of SQL FineBuild, the parameter /ConfigSQLInst: can also be used.

Manual Configure SQL Instance General Properties

The following steps show what you would have to do for manual SQL Instance General Properties configuration. FineBuild does all of this work for you automatically.

  1. Select the General tab

    The General properties should not be changed from the default values shown
