We are excited to announce the latest addition to our SUSE Linux Base Container Images (BCI) lineup: SUSE Linux Nano and SLE BCI Nano.

If you are deploying statically compiled binaries—whether they are written in Go or Rust, and don’t want the overhead of a SUSE Linux operating system user space, Nano was built specifically for you.

Zero glibc Dependency: Designed strictly for binaries that bring their own runtime and don't require a GNU C Library.
