Y2Linux 1.0 Beta 7.7
Y2Linux 1.0 Beta 7.7: Last.fm scrobbling. Linux 6.18 and the native Reborn music player for the Innioasis Y2.
Already running Y2Linux
Settings → About & Updates → Check for Updates → Update Now.
New: Last.fm scrobbling
- Settings → Last.fm → Connect with Your Phone: the player shows a QR code; scan it with your phone, allow Y2Reborn, done. The player never sees your password (a password sign-in is there as a fallback; it is used once and not stored).
- What counts: a song longer than 30 seconds, once you have heard half of it or 4 minutes. Pauses and skipping ahead do not count as listening; internet radio is not scrobbled.
- Works offline: plays are saved on the player the moment they count and sent when Wi-Fi is back — after sleep, a flat battery or an update too. Plays older than about two weeks are no longer accepted by Last.fm.
- Now Playing on your Last.fm profile while a song plays (can be switched off), Send Now, Disconnect.
.scrobbler.log: optionally the player also writes the classic Rockbox scrobbler log to Internal Storage, for upload tools — no account needed.- Nothing is recorded unless you connect Last.fm or switch the log on. Disconnect or Reset Settings forgets the sign-in and the plays waiting for it.
Everything from Beta 7.6 (smooth update screens) and earlier is included.
Install (from stock)
You need SP Flash Tool v5.2032, a USB cable, Y2Linux-1.0.0-beta.7.7-first-install.zip below and the Innioasis Y2 firmware package v3.2.0 from Innioasis (also your way back to stock).
- Unpack both.
- SP Flash Tool → Download Only → load
MT6582_Android_scatter.txtfrom the Y2Linux zip. Exactly BOOTIMG, RECOVERY, ANDROID and USRDATA are ticked. - Click Download and connect the switched-off Y2; wait for the green tick.
- Unplug and press Power: Y2Linux and Reborn start, music works.
- Connect the Y2 to the computer and copy (don't move)
system.imgfrom the Innioasis package onto the Firmware drive. The player takes the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth firmware from it and turns the radios on.

Known issues (beta)
- Last.fm scrobbling was built and checked on the computer and against Last.fm's sign-in service; the first scrobbles from a player follow with this update.
- The 12- or 24-hour clock follows the time zone; there is no switch yet.
- FM radio is in the works for a later beta.
- Battery life in sleep is not yet stock-like (about 8 mA vs stock 1.3 mA). The player cannot detect wired headphones yet.
