Install dependencies

npm install
composer install

Build Project

npm run build

Generate App Key

php artisan key:generate

Database Setup

# view all artisan commands
php artisan

# create a new table model togheter with the:
#    migration file (-m)
#    factory   file (-f)
#    seeder    file (-s)
php make:model <name> -mfs

# run all new migration and (optionally) the seeders
php artisan migrate --seed

Steps for hosting on CPanel

  1. Run the following commands in the root of the project
php artisan config:cache
php artisan route:cache
composer install --optimize-autoloader --no-dev
  1. Compress the project and upload it to CPanel
  2. Create the database and user for the database
  3. Import database to phpMyAdmin
  4. Edit the .env file with the corresponding APP_URL and database information
  5. Copy all files in the public directory to the root directory
  6. Modify index.php with the correct paths for vendor and bootstrap
