A big one: the Flask of Wondrous Physick, a full enchanting system with Elden Ring affinities, real enemy stance and poise breaks, rebindable controls, and a combat rebalance across the board.

Requires Elden Ring App Ver. 1.17.2 (executable 2.7.2.0). Update the game through Steam first; older game versions are no longer supported.

Compatibility

  • Updated for Elden Ring patch 1.17.2. Every game hook was moved to the new version and re-checked against it.
  • Fixed the shared world shutting down right after loading on 1.17.2, which stopped building, hitting enemies and Minecraft sounds.
  • If you're still on 1.17 or 1.17.1, the launcher now tells you to update the game through Steam.

New features

Flask of Wondrous Physick

  • Pick up the flask at the Third Church of Marika as usual, and a matching Minecraft flask appears in your inventory.
  • All 29 base-game Crystal Tears work. Mix any two you have found at a Site of Grace using the new Mix Wondrous Physick menu option.
  • Tears give heals, buffs, elemental boosts, the Opaline bubble, knockback immunity and more. Some, like Twiggy (keeps your runes) and Purifying, use Elden Ring's own native effects.
  • The flask holds one charge. It refills when you rest at a grace, die or fast travel.

Enchantments and affinities

image image
  • Campaign gear keeps Sharpness, Looting, Unbreaking and Protection. Sharpness is stronger than in vanilla, and Looting gives bonus runes.
  • New weapon affinities, unlocked by the whetblades you find in Elden Ring:
    • Poison, Bleeding and Frostbite use the game's real status buildup.
    • Fire, Lightning, Magic and Holy turn part of each hit into elemental damage, so enemy weaknesses and resistances now matter.
  • New shield enchantments: Guarding Ability, Healing, Explosive, Riposte, Second Wind, Stalwart, Resounding (it plays music!) and Last Hurrah.
  • The enchanting table shows which whetblades you have, and a Guide button explains all the rules.
  • Lapis is now scarce. Every remembrance boss gives 9, and merchants only sell it after the Elden Beast.

Stance and poise

  • Enemies now have a stance meter, like in Elden Ring. Hits fill it, and enemies only stagger when it breaks. Breaking it plays the real stance-break animation, even through a boss's hyper armor.
  • Each weapon type deals different stance damage: swords 8, spears 10, axes 16, the mace 35. Arrows and explosions also break stance.
  • Fixed Elden Ring's own jump landing a hidden weapon hit on nearby enemies.

Weapon tooltips

  • Redesigned tooltips with charcoal panels, gold frames and custom pixel-art icons.
  • Tooltips show scaled Elden Ring damage, elemental split, attack speed, stamina cost, stance damage and what each enchantment does. An affinity whose whetblade you don't have yet is marked as dormant.

Controls

  • Every key can be rebound in Minecraft's Controls menu, and Elden Ring picks up the change within half a second. Summon Torrent and Elden Ring Interaction have their own entries under EldenCraft.

World and traversal

  • Spiritsprings now launch Torrent high into the air when you press Space inside one, with no fall damage on landing.
  • Ender pearls that hit a wall land you just in front of it, and one that stops in mid-air sets you down safely on the ground below.

NPCs and dialogue

  • NPC dialogue now appears in a Minecraft dialogue box with the speaker's name. It turns pages and stays in sync with the voice line.

Balance changes

  • Stamina costs are now a percentage of your maximum stamina, so they grow as you get stronger: swords and spears 20%, axes 40%, the mace 50%, bows 20%, crossbows 25%.
  • Starting and maximum stamina are higher (59 → 169, was 54 → 103), and stamina regenerates faster.
  • Exhaustion: emptying your bar with an attack makes recovery take longer, and the bar flashes and pulses red. As in Elden Ring, any stamina left lets you make one last attack.
  • Shields now block the moment they are raised. A short delay after a guard break replaces the old raise delay.
  • Drawing a bow or loading a crossbow no longer pauses stamina regeneration.
  • Weapons, tools and armor last three times longer. Wooden gear and shields stay unbreakable.
  • Melee and ranged damage has been retuned. Sword damage is slightly lower, and bow and crossbow damage is lower too.
  • Resting at a grace or dying now refills your hunger bar.

Bug fixes

  • Enemy human NPCs and NPC invaders now have hitboxes and can be hit from Minecraft. Friendly NPCs still can't be hit by accident.
  • Arrows no longer bounce off Elden Ring enemies. An enemy's body no longer counts as cover, and quick follow-up shots now hit.
  • The welcome guide now only appears once per save. It no longer shows up again after reloading, dying or reconnecting.
  • Shop purchases now always use the save for the Steam account you're playing on. Failed purchases explain why in the shop.

Performance and stability

  • Smoother riding on Torrent: the game no longer rebuilds invisible terrain around you as you move.
  • Saving game state no longer pauses the game while it writes to disk.
  • Fewer frame hitches from hitbox checks.
  • If the game ever freezes, a detailed report is now saved automatically to the logs, which makes freezes much easier to track down.
