A lock screen (kos25k #22).

  • Settings → System → Lock Screen: 4-digit PIN or Hold a corner. With a PIN, the reader asks for it on a keypad when it wakes after sleeping 30 minutes or more (and after a restart or a flat battery). With Hold a corner, a long press on any corner opens it.
  • Forgot the PIN? Take the SD card out and delete /.vaultink/lock-pin.txt on a computer. The PIN keeps someone from picking the reader up and reading; the card itself isn't encrypted.
  • Change the PIN or turn the lock off in the same menu.

Tested in the simulator: setting a PIN (typed twice, saved), a wrong PIN, the right PIN opening the home screen, and Hold a corner (a long press in the middle does nothing, a corner opens it). The 30-minute rule needs a real deep sleep, so it isn't confirmed on the device yet.
