feat: expression/variable like feature?

I have played around with another library but ultimately decided it did not have enough traction.

They did have a neat expression/variable like feature that proved useful several times, like hiding/showing widget trees based on a click or some action.

Is there anything like this in stac?

Hey @aktxyz !! We have recently merged a PR for defining variables and fetching them.

Although the listener part is missing, where you can listen to or update the widget based on the value. If something like that is required for you, then we can prioritize it.

I think the listener part would open up many many possibilities -- but also seems "non trivial" to add !
