@SweenLab SweenLab released this 29 Oct 03:21

Guided native Hawser setup for Docker LXCs, with no Compose file required.

  • Centered orange/green menus with visible input boxes, required fields, Back/Next/Abort and final Install review.
  • Paste the token generated in Dockhand, or press F2 to generate a token locally.
  • Download the latest official Hawser executable and check its published SHA-256 checksum.
  • Configure Standard HTTP/token authentication on port 2376, install systemd service, enable boot startup and verify local health/Docker access.
  • Back up existing Hawser files; on setup failure restore files and attempt to restore previous service state. Never restart Docker/application containers.
  • Quiet or verbose progress, final success checklist and Dockhand connection settings. Token excluded from installer logs.

Run inside the Docker LXC as root:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/8bfd8b389a76f2a426ae8fa5bcfc31543a6f8d7b/scripts/hawser-agent-setup.sh)"

Guide: https://github.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/blob/main/docs/hawser-agent-setup.md

Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and 57 local tests pass, including 10 new agent checks for navigation, validation, checksum mismatch, private file writes, simulated installation, token redaction and rollback. Official upstream asset names verified. Live Linux/systemd installation has not yet been tested for this wizard. Docker must already be installed/running. Standard HTTP is for a trusted LAN or encrypted Tailscale route; TLS/Edge setup is outside this wizard. Existing Compose stacks require separate import into Dockhand.

The Debian LXC creation wizard remains at 0.1.20.
