Release list
Debian LXC Wizard 0.2.0
Promote the working Debian LXC wizard to v0.2.0, following the user's confirmation that v0.1.25 works on Proxmox. This milestone preserves that behavior with no functional changes.
Included capabilities:
- Required swap selection in MiB, including 0 to disable swap.
- Automatic branded Summary notes, explicitly saved and verified before completion.
- Aligned four-column memory chart from 1–16 GiB, with grey labels, bold green values and separators.
- TUN selection and passthrough only when Tailscale is selected.
- Self-contained step-by-step wizard with Back navigation and an embedded guest installer.
README, creation guide, notes guide, changelog and testing status are updated. Historical releases remain unchanged.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/46a403188d4736416fc8e15bb55ed697d6422e7d/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 67 local tests pass. The user confirmed the preceding v0.1.25 is working on Proxmox. Optional feature combinations have not been exhaustively live-tested; no additional live provisioning run was performed for this version promotion.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.25 — TUN only with Tailscale
The TUN passthrough screen now appears only when Tailscale is selected in Packages.
- With Tailscale selected, TUN starts at Yes and the existing required-device validation remains.
- Without Tailscale, the screen is skipped and
/dev/net/tunis not passed through. - Returning to Packages and removing Tailscale also clears TUN.
- README, creation guide, notes version label and changelog are updated.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/469662cb37a57c44771e9dfbb6dfcc4b873d144f/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 67 tests pass, including TUN selection with Tailscale, omission without Tailscale/no packages, and clearing passthrough when Tailscale is removed through Back navigation. No live Proxmox provisioning test was performed for this release.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.24 — Clearer memory chart contrast
The Memory chart now separates the sizes from the numbers you enter:
- Neutral grey GiB labels and equals signs.
- Bold green MiB values.
- Dim vertical separators between the four aligned columns.
- Bold values and separators remain useful without terminal colors.
All 1–16 GiB conversions remain included. README, creation guide, notes version label and changelog are updated.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/1fcd63679f99b963d81d79fbb1eecf8de63ad529/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 65 tests pass. Embedded UI rendering checks at 80 × 24 cover distinct label/value attributes, all 16 conversions, equal column positions and separators. No live Proxmox display test was performed for this release.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.23 — Aligned four-column memory chart
The Memory screen now uses four equal columns of four entries, keeping the full 1–16 GiB chart aligned. Short final rows no longer shift toward the center.
README, guide, notes version label and changelog are updated. Swap selection and verified Summary notes remain included.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/f38e290ffb213b093f06a4e001c6fb98464c6d14/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 64 existing tests pass. Verified equal row widths, all 16 conversions, and fit within the eight-line prompt limit at standard 80-column terminal width. No live Proxmox display test was performed for this release.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.22 — Memory chart in 1 GiB increments
The Memory screen now shows every 1 GiB increment from 1–16 GiB, including 3 GiB = 3072 MiB.
- Arrange all 16 conversions in three compact columns that fit the dialog's eight-line prompt limit at standard terminal width.
- Update the README, creation guide conversion table, notes version label and changelog. Swap selection and verified Summary notes from v0.1.21 remain included.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/af78fd62be60299674a70adfaa4064364b7ca076/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 64 existing tests pass. All 16 conversion values and the chart's eight-line/standard-width fit were checked. No live Proxmox provisioning was performed for this display-only change.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.21 — Swap selection and verified Summary notes
New containers now have an explicit Swap screen and a verified final save of their SweenLab Summary notes.
- Swap starts blank and requires a whole MiB value. Enter
0to disable it; Back retains your choice. The review and Proxmox creation command use the selected allowance instead of a fixed 512 MiB. - After guest package setup, the wizard saves the banner and repository links with
pct set --descriptionand checks the saved content through the Proxmox API, accounting for Proxmox's trailing newline. Failed writes or mismatched readbacks stop completion and preserve the CT for inspection. - README, creation guide, notes guide and changelog are updated. Existing containers are not changed by this release.
Run on the Proxmox host:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/d9b315243acb699bdfe3c58b623be6f0a9d0bdb2/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 64 local tests pass, including invalid/zero/custom swap, Back navigation, notes lost during creation, write failure and readback mismatch. The launcher is pinned to the actual script commit. No live Proxmox provisioning or browser-rendering test was performed for this release.
Hawser Agent Setup 0.1.2
Installation is now always verbose; the verbose selection screen is removed. Tokens remain redacted from command output/logs.
The final review now shows Create → Abort → Back, with Create highlighted by default. Tab/Shift+Tab and arrow keys cycle through those three buttons. Back still preserves entries; the final success checklist remains.
Run inside a Docker LXC as root:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/8d70357b43e1d91eb5a86798f9bc9ed784e424f4/scripts/hawser-agent-setup.sh)"The README and guide contain the same pinned command.
Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 12 Hawser tests pass, including final action order/default selection, Abort/Back navigation and skipped verbose prompt. Live LXC installation has not been repeated.
Hawser Agent Setup 0.1.1
Verbose output now highlights Yes by default. No remains available; explicit selection and Back navigation are unchanged.
Run inside a Docker LXC as root:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/270bfca5cbcdfd9ea6ace7200add40a717bbbbd1/scripts/hawser-agent-setup.sh)"README and setup guide use the same immutable launcher.
Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and all 10 Hawser tests pass. Live LXC installation has not been repeated.
Hawser Agent Setup 0.1.0
Guided native Hawser setup for Docker LXCs, with no Compose file required.
- Centered orange/green menus with visible input boxes, required fields, Back/Next/Abort and final Install review.
- Paste the token generated in Dockhand, or press F2 to generate a token locally.
- Download the latest official Hawser executable and check its published SHA-256 checksum.
- Configure Standard HTTP/token authentication on port 2376, install systemd service, enable boot startup and verify local health/Docker access.
- Back up existing Hawser files; on setup failure restore files and attempt to restore previous service state. Never restart Docker/application containers.
- Quiet or verbose progress, final success checklist and Dockhand connection settings. Token excluded from installer logs.
Run inside the Docker LXC as root:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/8bfd8b389a76f2a426ae8fa5bcfc31543a6f8d7b/scripts/hawser-agent-setup.sh)"Guide: https://github.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/blob/main/docs/hawser-agent-setup.md
Validation: Bash syntax, diff checks and 57 local tests pass, including 10 new agent checks for navigation, validation, checksum mismatch, private file writes, simulated installation, token redaction and rollback. Official upstream asset names verified. Live Linux/systemd installation has not yet been tested for this wizard. Docker must already be installed/running. Standard HTTP is for a trusted LAN or encrypted Tailscale route; TLS/Edge setup is outside this wizard. Existing Compose stacks require separate import into Dockhand.
The Debian LXC creation wizard remains at 0.1.20.
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.20 — Automatic centered generic notes
Debian LXC Wizard 0.1.20 — 2026-10-28
- Automatically add generic branded Summary notes to new LXCs through pct create --description: compact banner plus GitHub, Guide and Releases links, with no app-specific text.
- Center the block horizontally and vertically in a 280-pixel-high layout using supported table attributes. It does not dynamically follow arbitrary panel heights; no Proxmox UI/CSS files are changed.
- Retain wizard version in a hidden comment and show the automatic notes setting in the creation review. Existing guests are not modified.
- Replace previous app-specific notes examples with the shared generic template; update README, guide and immutable launcher.
Validation: host Bash syntax and 47 local tests pass, including complete multiline notes passed as one creation argument, generic content, and unchanged existing guests. HTML attributes were checked against Proxmox's sanitizer allowlist. Live provisioning/rendering of this release remains unverified.
Run as root on Proxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SweenLab/sweenlab-scripts/553dbf9c5b1b154aaa228e4d62df96ba683cfef0/scripts/proxmox-debian-lxc-create.sh)"
