Github reactions disabled when issue is locked

Thank you so much for your hard an incessant work on NewPipe.
I noticed on #13320 that I cannot add an emoji reaction to the top post, presumably because the discussion was locked.
I very much understand locking this issue - and any issues that attract thousands of "me too" comments - however, without the emoji reaction it's not possible to quietly communicate that one is affected too. This definitely worked in the past, so I must assume Github changed something recently. Is there a setting to still allow emoji reactions even on locked issues?

We have had more than enough "me too" that we do not need anymore people to notify us that they are also affected.
No new amount of notifications is going to speed up the development.

As for emoji reaction on locked issue: probably ask Github themselves
