GyroidVault gives you full control over who has access to your library and how the system communicates. You can find these options in the Settings menu (assuming you are logged in as an administrator).
By default, GyroidVault is a private vault. You can create additional user accounts if you want to share access with family members or friends.
- Go to the Users section in the settings.
- You can add new users and give them their own login credentials.
- This is great if multiple people in your household use the 3D printer and need access to the library.
If you want to show off your collection to the world without forcing people to log in, you can enable public sharing.
- When public sharing is enabled, anyone with the link to your server can browse your models.
- Note: Public users only have read-only access. They can view models and download them, but they cannot edit tags, delete files, or change settings.
GyroidVault can send email notifications (like password resets or system alerts). To enable this, you need to configure your SMTP server details.
- Head to the SMTP Settings panel.
- Enter your email provider's SMTP host (e.g.,
smtp.gmail.com), port (usually587or465), and your credentials. - You can use standard email providers, or your own self-hosted mail server if you're running one.
