GyroidVault gives you full control over who has access to your library and how the system communicates. You can find these options in the Settings menu (assuming you are logged in as an administrator).

User Management

By default, GyroidVault is a private vault. You can create additional user accounts if you want to share access with family members or friends.

• Go to the Users section in the settings.
• You can add new users and give them their own login credentials.
• This is great if multiple people in your household use the 3D printer and need access to the library.

Public Sharing & Direct Links

Because GyroidVault is designed for your local network, everything is open by default: anyone who can access the web interface can browse your entire collection. User accounts are only required to manage the vault (upload, edit, delete).

When you use the Share button on a model, it generates a direct, clean link to that specific item. This is purely for convenience: if you want to show a specific model to a friend, you can just send them the link and they will land exactly on the right page without having to search through your whole library.

SMTP (Email) Settings

GyroidVault can send email notifications (like password resets or system alerts). To enable this, you need to configure your SMTP server details.

• Head to the SMTP Settings panel.
• Enter your email provider's SMTP host (e.g., smtp.gmail.com), port (usually 587 or 465), and your credentials.
• You can use standard email providers, or your own self-hosted mail server if you're running one.
