xrevive v0.3.17-linux.2 — Linux preview
Pre-releasexrevive v0.3.17-linux.2 — Linux file-manager fix
An opt-in Linux x86_64 preview addressing reports that Browse local files and Open log file did nothing on CachyOS.
- Folder buttons ask the desktop's file manager directly through FileManager1.
- Fallback file openers use the host environment, without the AppImage's bundled library and GTK module paths. This fixes a reproduced system-opener failure caused by older bundled GLib libraries.
- If selecting a log is unsupported, xrevive opens its containing folder instead.
- Opening crash logs, saves and the Music folder uses the same Linux implementation. Failures show the path and diagnostics instead of silently disappearing.
Download xrevive_0.3.17-linux.2_linux-setup.tar.gz, extract it, then open xrevive-linux-setup.AppImage and choose Install xrevive. Existing native Linux and Wine/Proton build choices are retained. Steam Deck and optional Debian packages are also included.
These packages are built locally on an Ubuntu 22.04 baseline. GitHub only signs and publishes the exact local files; package hashes and the existing pinned updater key are verified before publishing. This preview does not change stable update feeds or other operating systems' opener behavior.
The CachyOS user's desktop still needs confirmation with this preview. If a button still fails, include the displayed error and whether you use KDE Plasma, GNOME, Hyprland or another desktop.
