This is gnome_sort's pseudo code：

procedure gnomeSort(a[]):
    pos := 0
    while pos < length(a):
        if (pos == 0 or a[pos] >= a[pos-1]):
            pos := pos + 1
        else:
            swap a[pos] and a[pos-1]
            pos := pos - 1

But you said that the array index can be - 1, I don't quite understand why to do this,Could you provide the running result after modifying the code?

if ( pos == 0 || numbers[pos] >= numbers[pos-1]
