This update allows filtering the library albums and songs by rating, play count. and release year, and includes many improvements, fixes, and optimizations. A more complete list of changes can be seen below.

Warning

Mellow version 0.3.0 uses an updated songs file format, and the file will be converted accordingly when opened with this version. Files using the new format will not work in older versions.

• The library songs and albums can now be filtered using specified criteria based on rating/play count/year
• The library songs/albums/artists pages have a new 'Random' sorting order option
• Sub-page album/artist labels are now clickable, and act as 'Go To Album/Artist' respectively
• The 'Go To Album/Artist' buttons on the queue sub-page no longer close the sub-page when pressed
• The song queue scroll position is now corrected after pressing the 'Play Now' button on the queue sub-page to keep the same items in view as before
• The queue panning button now repeats faster and doesn't speed up as quickly while held
• Holding the shortcut to skip songs no longer causes the player to stop responding (fixed Holding the shortcut to skip songs (with repeating keys enabled) can break the player #23)
• Adding/removing library directories too quickly is now less likely to freeze, but it may still happen on rare occasions (partially fixed Managing library directories too quickly can cause a deadlock on Flatpak builds #21)
• Fixed queue sub-page buttons possibly acting on the wrong item after processing a stopper
• Queue songs are now also validated based on changes to the configured library directories
• The library songs file now identifies songs by paths rather than URIs
• Queue and library loading improvements and optimizations
• Startup time optimizations
• Code cleanups and under-the-hood improvements
