The first character is repeated when inputting Chinese characters

Steps to Reproduce:

1. change vim to input mode
2. type in character d

Setting "editor.experimentalEditContextEnabled": false did the trick.

In my case the problem was happening on MacOs with U.S International keyboard layout when typing deadkeys ('+e -> é, for example).
