Hey there, thanks for the feedback. At the moment, there aren't plans for message pinning, but you can emulate this by using the upcoming Author Notes feature: |

First, I just want to say a massive thank you to the creator for your incredible dedication to ChatterUI! This is genuinely the absolute best application I have ever used. It has completely revived the immersive character AI experience for me, and it deserves so much more popularity and attention than it currently has. Thank you for all your hard work!
Quick suggestions!
Since the upcoming v0.10.0 update is introducing Lorebooks and Author's Notes, I wanted to suggest a feature that builds perfectly on top of this new injection system: Message Pinning / Memory Saves.
It would be amazing to have a "Pin Message" option when long-pressing or clicking a message in the chat timeline. This would allow us to:
Freeze key plot points or character state changes so the AI never forgets them, even during long chats.
Inject pinned messages directly into the context window (similar to how character ai function behind the scenes).
Manage pins visually, perhaps via a "Memory Card" dashboard or sidebar where users can see a list of active pins and toggle them on/off to save token space.
With the new token allocation tracker under development, this would give users incredible control over their chat memory.
Thank you for considering this idea! I would love to see this feature. Also, I really hope that you can make a discord server in the future so we could interact directly and help you with growing this project and development. You're the best, and I truly wish you a great day—just like how you made my day, when I first discovered this project today through the helpful use of Artificial Intelligence ❤️
