Description
Currently, the Vaccinator applies a “Bullet” resistance to certain weapons that, when you think about it, don’t actually use bullets, or even behave like traditional bullet weapons in the game.
Below is a list of (I think) all weapons that are currently affected by Bullet Resistance despite clearly not being bullet-based.
My suggestion: these weapons should simply not be affected by any Vaccinator resistance, similar to melee weapons.
All Of Medic's Syringe Guns + Crossbow
The syringe guns obviously do not shoot bullets.
They fire syringes, slow projectiles that require leading shots and feel mechanically distinct from the hitscan gameplay of shotguns or pistols.
The Crusader’s Crossbow behaves similarly, firing projectiles instead of bullets.
Even linguistically, “syringes” and are not “bullets,” so it feels incorrect for them to fall under the Bullet Resistance.
Huntsman / Fortified Compound
Both fire arrows, which are projectile-based and arc through the air.
They share no mechanical or thematic similarity to actual bullet weapons, yet are still resisted by the Vaccinator’s Bullet Resistance.
Rescue Ranger + Short Circuit (primary fire)
The Rescue Ranger fires electric bolts that look and behave like arrows or energy projectiles.
The Short Circuit’s primary fire shoots an energy pulse, not a bullet.
Both are fundamentally energy or electrical projectiles and don’t fit within the bullet category.
Pomson 6000 + Righteous Bison
These are clearly ray guns.
In normal language or media (like Star Wars), you wouldn’t describe them as shooting “bullets.”
They shoot energy rays, and since they’re also projectile-based, they differ both visually and mechanically from hitscan bullet weapons.
Manmelter
The Manmelter is currently classified as dual-type (Fire & Bullet).
It should retain its Fire resistance because of its burning mechanic but lose its Bullet resistance since, like the Pomson and Bison, it shoots energy rays, not bullets.
