This wiki covers the Neumann Connect Home Assistant integration for Neumann KH DSP loudspeakers: how it talks to the speakers, which entities it creates, and how to solve typical problems. For installation see the repository README.
The device and protocol reference moved. What is known about the Sennheiser Sound Control protocol (SSC) and the speakers themselves - wire format, paths, standby, control mode, EQ, measured limits - now lives in the Neumann KH SSC Reference in the Neumann Control wiki. It applies to every SSC client, including this integration.
Every factual statement carries one of these source marks.
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| [measured] | Read-only probe or write test on the project's own hardware (KH 120 II firmware 1_7_3, KH 750 DSP firmware 2_1_2) |
| [code] | Behaviour of the integration's code or its SSC simulator |
| [khtool] | khtool, an independent SSC tool, cited only where it is still the only source of a statement |
| [manual] | Neumann documentation |
| Page | Content |
|---|---|
| Integration-Behaviour | SSC client, polling, identity, discovery and relocation, discovery button, standby and reset handling, model handling, EQ entities, backup |
| Entities-and-Polling | Which SSC path feeds which entity, and how often it is read |
| Troubleshooting | Typical connection, discovery, logging, backup and reset questions |
| Neumann KH SSC Reference | Protocol, paths, device behaviour, EQ, identity and mDNS, limits (Neumann Control wiki) |
