Manufacturer Interface
User Interface
The Device Security contract provides manufacturers a place to post security related information regarding their device model. Each ModelID has a security record. However, there is a separate index for each firmware version, as the security of a device most likely changes with the code running in the device.
The primary data contained in the device security record is:
- Firmware version name
- Firmware version URL
- Manufacturer Usage Descriptor, which is based on the IETF MUD
- Security Info meta data, which may contain information regarding compliance to regional IoT Security laws.
