GameHub v0.1.2
GameHub v0.1.2
Fixed
- Manual games, including Proton titles, now launch correctly from the AppImage. AppImage runtime variables (
LD_LIBRARY_PATH,PATH,PYTHONHOME/PYTHONPATH, GTK/GStreamer paths) are stripped before spawning games, preventing pressure-vessel/bwrap failures and Proton Python errors.
Added
- Add or remove games in the applications menu with
.desktoplaunchers, using game artwork or the GameHub icon. gamehub --launch-game <kind> <id>CLI mode used by the menu launchers. It tracks manual playtime and reports launch errors with desktop notifications.

GameHub v0.1.1
GameHub v0.1.1
Bug-fix release focused on launching manual Windows games, memory usage and hover animations.
AppImages don't work with manually added games.
Fixes
- Manual Windows games now launch like Steam games — via the Steam Linux Runtime wrapper,
proton waitforexitandrunandSteamAppId/SteamGameId. Fixes SnowRunner and other titles that need a proper Steam environment. - Disabled
lsteamclient(WINEDLLOVERRIDES=lsteamclient=d) so RUNE/cracked games no longer crash on startup. - Fixed ~3 GB memory spike when enabling Show uninstalled games — removed per-card
backdrop-filterand grayscale filters that forced expensive compositing layers. - Stable hover animations — artwork dims instantly without a color lag, and the Play/Download button no longer flickers during the card lift/lower animation.
- Lighter artwork loading — lazy/async image decoding keeps scrolling smooth.
