🎯 Development

  • Extract the AngularJS admin UI to the Admin-AngularJS module. (#3152)

Caution

Without an admin UI module, the platform starts and works API only; the site root shows a clear message with links to /docs and /health. Install Admin AngularJS App or Admin Shell App module.

What you need to know:

  1. Nothing changes for existing setups. The module is part of the Commerce bundle and is installed automatically the first time the platform starts. All Admin UI files were simply moved into the module, with no changes to how the UI works.
  2. If the module is missing, the platform shows a message instead of the Admin UI. To get the admin interface back, install the VirtoCommerce.AdminAngularJs module.
  3. A lighter platform: the platform package is now 37 MB, down from 58 MB (about 36% smaller).VC Platform Lighter: now 37MB (before 58 MB).

New: several Admin UI modes are now supported:

  • No UI: the platform runs without an admin interface (API only).
  • Admin AngularJS only.
  • Admin Shell only.
  • Admin AngularJS by default, with Admin Shell available.
  • Admin Shell by default, with Admin AngularJS available.
