What's new

Battery cameras

  • Add a battery camera by its UID on the setup page (Battery camera section): address, UID, name and password. A battery camera looked up by address points there now.
  • Docker on a Mac reaches battery cameras: set REOSTREAM_BATTERY_UDP_PORT and publish that UDP port. See the setup guide's Mac section. Without the setting nothing changes.

Network scan

  • Devices that have port 9000 open but are not Reolinks are left out, with a count ("1 other device has the port open but is not a Reolink"), instead of showing as a camera asking for a password.

Safer defaults

  • A connection that sends its request headers too slowly is closed after 10 seconds, on both the stream and control ports. Streams themselves are not cut.
  • Forms on the control page accept at most 4 MB.
  • The page password is hashed with Go's standard PBKDF2. Existing passwords keep working.
  • With no RTSP username set, the recorder URLs page and the NVR page say that anyone on your network can watch the streams.

Logs

  • When a camera's clock goes backwards, reostream says so (at most once a minute), with how many frames kept the previous timestamp. A player can show those as a frozen picture.

Fixes

  • TrackMix, TrackFlex and Omvi zoom streams: each zoom stream falls back to the camera's RTSP on its own, so zoom_sub going to RTSP no longer moves zoom there too.
  • A zoom stream that sends no video is noticed after 30 seconds. It could sit at 0 fps for minutes while the stream that unlocks it kept flowing. When the camera's RTSP doesn't serve it either (usually RTSP is off and both main stream slots are in use), it waits 2 minutes before trying again instead of logging in every few seconds.
  • Saving the Config page with no config in it (or more than 4 MB) is refused. It used to save an empty file and remove every camera.
  • The clock page shows a camera's connect error once, not twice.

Update

docker pull ghcr.io/volttech21/reostream:latest, then recreate the container (your config is kept).
