How to add credentials for hubs?

First of all, congratulations for the tool - looks great.

As I am going though it, I saw that docker.io is not authenticated (obviously)

I am clicking all around to try to add a few credentials but I don't know how to do that and I did not find any clues in the documentation (which I have not read in its entirety)

That's a bug, it's fixed on the dev branch I'll hopefully get to it tonight :D sorry been a busy few days!

This is improved in v2.2.0 — the Add button now gives clear feedback if you haven't selected a registry from the dropdown yet (previously it silently did nothing).

How to add credentials:

1. Go to Settings → Registries tab
2. Select a registry from the "Add registry credentials..." dropdown (docker.io, ghcr.io, etc.)
3. Click Add
4. Enter your username and password/token
5. Click Save All

For Docker Hub specifically, you can generate a read-only access token at https://hub.docker.com/settings/security — this lets Sentinel do authenticated pulls (higher rate limits).

I did that, managed to save my creds but I think there is a bug with the Test part. If I press Test after entering the creds, the test succeeds but the creds entry disappears (I am back to an empty list of saved creds.

If I first "Save All" then it works fine.

I think this is a bug because the usual sequence would be to input the creds, test, and save if everything is fine.

Good catch — there was a bug where the Test button triggered a full registry reload after the background rate-limit probe finished (3s delay). That reload fetched credentials from the backend, which only has saved entries, wiping anything unsaved from the form.

Fixed in #36 — the test handler now only refreshes the rate-limit status table without touching the credential list.
