We are pleased to announce the release of easy_vic_build v0.2.0, which introduces several improvements and new features:

✨ Added

• A CMA-ES–based single-objective optimization base class, designed for single-objective tasks such as model parameter calibration focusing only on runoff.
• Multiple optional free-parameter configurations, including:
  • a full parameter set with 44 parameters, and
  • a simplified parameter set with 15 parameters,
    enabling flexible trade-offs between model complexity and calibration efficiency.
• MPR-based refinement for the two RVIC routing parameters (flow velocity and diffusion coefficient), aiming to improve cross-scale parameter transferability.

📊 Enhanced

• Extended hydrological analysis workflows, including support for river network visualization.

🐛 Fixed

• Resolved several issues, such as redundant routing-parameter options in the global parameter settings.

This release improves the flexibility, robustness, and scalability of hydrological modeling and calibration workflows.
