Using Windows Firewall

Description

In this lab, I learned to use Windows firewall. Windows firewall is an application that filters information which comes to your system from the Internet and blocking potentially harmful programs.

• Windows Server 2016 Datacenter

Utilities and Language

• Windows Firewall

Program walk-through:

Go to the search icon and then type in "windows firewall"


In the left pane of the windows firewall firewall and click the Allow and App or Feature through windows firewall


In the allowed apps and features, scroll down and check the private and public and checkboxes for windows media player and click ok


In the windows firewall window from the left pane, click Advanced settings


In the windows firewall with advanced settings window from the middle pane, scroll down click windows firewall properties


click customize button in the logging section


Verify size limit and then hit ok
