Project Tabletop 1.2.0
Project Tabletop 1.2.0
Football joins Project Tabletop: a lively projected game for two people or one player against the computer, with car-front kickers, a bouncy football and a stadium crowd.
Download and install
Download ProjectTabletop-1.2.0-win-x64-setup.exe from the assets below. It targets Windows 11 x64 and includes .NET, the Windows App SDK, native C++ dependencies, hand models, artwork and sounds. Setup installs for your account without administrator rights and creates a Start menu shortcut. Updating preserves existing settings, learned markers, saved games and exported pictures.
The setup is unsigned; Windows may display an unknown-publisher warning. SHA256SUMS.txt records the release asset hashes, and the JSON manifest identifies the source commit and installed payload. Source archives are separate from the Windows installer. The optional local-control MCP executable is included in the ControlMcp subfolder.
Football
- Play against the computer or another person. Learn a printed black bar or double-bar marker for each human player, or use an index fingertip. The car follows the marker's movement and rotation, facing the opposing half.
- Red and blue striped car fronts, a detailed grass pitch, goal nets and cast shadows. The rotating football has lively rebounds, airborne movement and a maximum speed that keeps play manageable. Glancing hits affect direction and spin.
- The first player to score five goals wins. Red, white, blue and gold confetti showers the winner's half and car, then settles on the pitch.
- Open the board, choose the player mode and hold PLAY to begin. Controls stay hidden during play. Remove a player's marker to reveal RESET for a fresh match; returning the marker without resetting resumes the existing match through a countdown. PLAY returns after the victory confetti settles.
- More resilient double-bar tracking during forward shots, rotation and brief obstruction. Short tracking gaps quietly hold the ball and computer while input recovers, preserving the rally.
- Stadium ambience, referee whistles, a distinct goal cheer for each side, quieter recurring chants and a victory celebration. Goal cheers use separate audio channels so close-together goals can overlap. Audio follows Enable Audio on Display Device and plays through the selected projector's speakers.
Football is on the first menu page; Photo Copy is on the second page with Roulette and Paint. The Football guide explains marker learning and controls. The reference double-bar marker was printed in Arial Black at 250 pt.
Camera and interaction
- Choose 30, 60 or 100 fps per webcam. The app uses a supported capture mode and displays the actual negotiated resolution and rate when the requested rate is unavailable.
- Board setup estimates camera latency from the projected alignment spots. Enter your projector's latency on the laptop to adjust the estimate; the measurement stays on the laptop UI.
- Shared input scheduling keeps camera processing focused on fresh frames, with improved capture fallback and recovery handling.
- Water Garden's stick has a stronger direct effect on ducks and creates deeper waves.
