AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'DISPLAY'

Running your display_analogclock_simpletest.py on rpi pico W I get the above error message

I have installed

pip3 install adafruit-circuitpython-display-analogclock

and

pip3 install adafruit-circuitpython-lis3dh

Can you help with this

The simpletest assumes that it will be run on a device with the build in display i.e. board.DISPLAY

The PicoW don't have a bult-in display so that will not work. Do you have a display physically connected to the PicoW? If so have you successfully initialized it and drawn elements to the screen with it?

If you have an external display connected then in the code you need to change display = board.DISPLAY to set display to the result of initializing your display object.

Discord or the Adafruit Forums are the best places to get support for things like this as it is not a bug or issue with the library, this is just how built-in / external displays work in CircuitPython no matter which library you want to use.

Thank you that explains it. I am using the waveshare 1.3in pico display, I.e. plugs directly on to a pico so not built in. Steve
