The artistic style of Ms. Pac-Man adapts to restrictions of the 80's videogames, so the graphics aren't extremely elaborated. Even so, they have certain characteristics that can be interessing to comment.
First of all, appear a black background where all the tiles and sprites are located. The maze, is located in the center of the screen, with two strips ont the top and the bottom. This tripes are used to locate the UI. All of the maze is tile-based, which means the maze is divided by a grid, and every sprite is put on on cell of this grid.
The walls of the map occupy half of a tile creating a wider lane to move the characters.
Colours used in the map are vivid and very saturated, tipically used in the arcade games of the 80's. These colors change on which level are you. Also, there are two maps which have 2 colored versions each other. To create the maze, the game uses aproximately just 15 different tiles for each map.
The sprites used in the game, are very simple because the characters have a very basic animations. This is why the main character just have 3 sprites for the move and the enemies have 2 sprites. This sprites are rotated depending to where they are moving (in the case of ghosts just the eyes are rotated). Also they are 2 more sprites for scared ghosts, 2 for dead ghosts and 7 for bonuses.
The game includes also 3 animations that are part of the Ms Pac-Man history.
