A full redesign of the blog: a Medium-inspired editorial theme, new portfolio pages and proper SEO. Plain CSS and a small vanilla JS file replace Bootstrap, jQuery, Font Awesome and thickbox.

Home page

Highlights

Design

  • Editorial typography: Newsreader, Source Serif 4, Inter and JetBrains Mono
  • Home page with a sticky profile sidebar and a numbered post list in Compact or Expanded view, with excerpts
  • Article pages with a sticky table of contents, dark code blocks with copy buttons, a share menu, an author card, previous/next and related posts
  • Light/dark theme, mobile menu, ⌘K search, a /writing/ archive and a 404 page
  • Live GitHub star count in the header and a ☕ favicon

Portfolio

  • /about/: career highlights, an experience timeline and certifications
  • /projects/: open-source and work projects with generated covers and a tag filter

SEO

  • jekyll-seo-tag: canonical URLs, Open Graph, large Twitter cards and JSON-LD
  • Auto-generated meta descriptions for posts and categories
  • Default share image, robots.txt and a standard XML sitemap
  • Icon font trimmed to the icons in use; cache-busted CSS/JS

Tooling

  • make serve (Docker), make format (Prettier) and make check (build + link check)
  • Pull requests now get a build-only CI run

Breaking changes

  • _config.yml: social now holds SEO profile links; the sidebar icon list moved to social_links
  • _data/projects.json and the project collection are replaced by _data/projects.yml and _data/work.yml
  • The Google Analytics UA- placeholder is removed; set a GA4 G-… ID in google_analytics to enable analytics
