First public release of GFBlenderBridge: an in-memory link between Blender and a running Unreal editor. It carries static and skeletal meshes, LODs, materials, textures, skeletons, morph targets and animations in both directions, with no FBX or glTF export and re-import in between.
Downloads
Prebuilt for Windows against the stock launcher engines. Download the one matching your engine:
- GFBlenderBridge-3.2.0-UE5.7-Win64.zip: Unreal Engine 5.7.
- GFBlenderBridge-3.2.0-UE5.8-Win64.zip: Unreal Engine 5.8.
- ...-symbols.zip: the matching PDBs, only needed for debugging a crash. Extract to the same place as the plugin.
Setup
- Extract the ZIP into
<YourProject>/Plugins/(or<UE>/Engine/Plugins/Marketplace/for every project on that engine), so the plugin sits in aGFBlenderBridgefolder there, then enable it. - Click Blender Bridge on the level editor toolbar, then press Install the extension in Blender.
- Restart Blender.
Requires Blender 5.2 LTS or newer. Source is included, so the plugin also builds on other platforms from a C++ project. MIT licensed.
