🚀 Tengine 3.2.0 Release Plan

Tengine 3.2.0 is coming. We are tracking the work in milestone #28 with target GA on 2026-06-30.

⚠️ Scope is frozen. Given the tight timeline and large surface area of this release, we are not accepting new features or scope additions for 3.2.0. New feature proposals will be deferred to 3.3.0+.

Scope

• Internal capabilities open-sourcing — proven features from Alibaba's internal Tengine and Tengine-Ingress (dynamic upstream, traffic governance, observability, K8s ingress, etc.)
• Core upgrade — nginx core 1.24.0 → 1.31.x
• xquic upgrade — to 1.9.2+
• CVE backlog — full backport of nginx 1.25–1.31 security fixes, with regression tests

How to participate

• 🐛 Report bugs / regressions against master or RC builds — file an issue and tag it with milestone 3.2.0
• 🔧 Pick up open tasks from milestone #28 and submit PRs (please link Part of milestone 3.2.0 in the description)
• 🧪 Help with testing — try RC1 on 2026-06-25 in your environment and report findings
• 💡 New feature ideas? Please hold them for 3.3.0 — we'll open a separate RFC after GA
