As far as I can tell this isn't an alvr bug, as the quest fails to report the 120hz refresh rate to alvr in my testing (on quest 3). This is probably a quest bug, maybe in relation to them removing the toggle for the experimental 120hz feature and making it stable.
Found it, it isn't per se a quest bug, but rather weird intentional behavior for the sake of backwards compatibility. Alvr wasn't reporting the quest 3 as a supported device so the system defaulted to only reporting up to 90hz as supported.
