How to revert to the originally installed version

UrsKR edited this page Oct 7, 2012 · 2 revisions

To do so,

  1. delete the directory .anathema in your home directory (e.g. C:\Users\Username\.anathema on Windows or ~/.anathema on Linux) and
  2. delete the file anathema.properties from your original installation directory.

Anathema is now back at the version you originally installed.
Barring breaking changes to the repository, you can now start the program (it should state the original version on the splash and in the about screen) and trigger another update.

Reinstalling fails

If you have already used the auto-updater to update Anathema and for whatever reason choose to make a fresh installation in the same location, it won't load the version you have installed, but instead the one you last updated to.

To make it work, follow the steps above.
