withDevTools() not working in demo app?

Hello everyone, and thank you for your great work. I have a small problem with the DevTools integration. I wanted to add it to my app but was unsuccessful. The Redux DevTools screen just remains blank.

I just checked out the main branch of the NgRx Toolkit and started the demo app. I'm seeing the same behavior there (see screenshot).

Before taking the screenshot, I had selected “Read a Book” and “Write a Journal” and then deselected “Read a Book.”

Is there anything else I need to consider when using withDevTools()?

I am using macOS and the latest version of Chrome (version 139.0.7258.128).

I have been cleaning up the demo app a bit here and there, so thank you for pointing this out in particular. My preliminary guess is that it's just the demo being rusty, but perhaps it is bigger than that. I'll try to reproduce this in particular for next thing I do in the cleanup.

@michael-small To reproduce, open the todo app, select a few todos, and then unselect them.
When component-provided stores are destroyed and re-instantiated, DevTools perform some internal renaming - that’s where the error occurs.

I wouldn’t classify this as a “full blocker,” but it is definitely a bug and not just in the demo.

There's a redundant id declaration vs. line 64, but this is unlikely to be explain the behavior.
