fedora and centos have been somewhat stuck on ansible 2.9 due to the changes in packaging. There's now an ansible-core 2.11.x package in fedora rawhide and we'd like to bump the ansible package to 4.x (or soon 5.x), details remain to be determined as to how the packaging will work out.

updates: EMS has plumbed #social:ansible.im (#ansible-social) so please feel free to start saying good morning, etc. News posts are welcome there too. There is an ongoing technical issue which is causing some display issues, but it's fine to use.
The concerns around netbox.netbox collection are been worked on. New maintainers have been setup. CI is been fixed. So we can keep the collection in the ansible package
cidrblock sends his apologies and he won't e able to make today's meeting. He authorized us to record him as a +0 on any votes that come up.
The version of ansibullbot running on community.general has been updated with support for AZP amongst other things

ansible 4.10.0 has been released: https://groups.google.com/g/ansible-announce/c/BJxz60-mq7w -- it's the last 4.x maintenance release now that ansible 5.x is out. There's instructions included in the announcement for getting collection updates from Ansible 5 for users that wish to stay on ansible-core 2.11.x.
We are still interested in running a monthly virtual community meetup to fill in the gap between contributor summits and ansiblefests. We should be able to confirm a first agenda soon in expectation of a first meetup around January 18th.
A first iteration of the Ansible 5 packaging for Fedora 36 should be landing sooner rather than later, if you'd like to check it out or provide feedback it's up at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/ansible/pull-request/19
