Proposed Layout for Cross Filters in Horizontal Filter bar (Organized in a Cross Filter Dropdown)
Description
Currently, cross-filters are treated as individual, top-level inline chips. This crowds the horizontal space, pushing critical primary dashboard filters (like Time Range and Product Line) completely out of view into the "More filters" overflow menu.
Proposed Design
we separate explicit global filters from chart-driven cross-filters:
Preserved Global Filters: Core controls (e.g., Country, Order Quantity) stay visible on the left for easy access.
Unified Cross-Filter Dropdown: Cross-filters are consolidated into a single dropdown button on the right with a dynamic badge counter (e.g., Cross filters | 4).
Clear Context: Opening the dropdown reveals chips cleanly grouped by their source chart, keeping the layout organized.
