Looks like we are hitting this issue when dealing with image variants that are build to run on non Linux environments. In such cases we should just skip processing these variants as they are unsupported.

The default behavior for container images pull is to pull listed variants (platforms) for a given container image - which is causing the error you are seeing.

As a workaround you could also do

container images pull --platform linux/arm64 python
