🔖 Feature description

Python 3.13 was released last year, and Python 3.14 was officially released last month. Currently, neither of these versions is supported by default in the open-source version of Appwrite Runtime.

This feature request proposes adding support for Python 3.13 and Python 3.14 in the open-runtime, ensuring that developers can build and deploy projects using the latest versions of Python without manual setup or workarounds.

🎤 Pitch

  • Python 3.13 was released in October 2024.

  • Python 3.14 was released in September 2025.

  • Both versions include notable performance enhancements, standard library updates, and optimisations that would benefit Appwrite developers using Python runtimes.

  • Keep Appwrite’s runtime ecosystem up to date with the latest Python releases.
