Interactive shutter calibration

About shutter calibration… I've been thinking that there could maybe be another way to automate this/make this easier? Enter calibration, which lowers the shutters. Press and hold button until shutter is up, setting ShutterOpenDuration, and press and hold button again until shutter is back down to set ShutterCloseDuration. Press and hold button again until 20% is reached, again until half way is reached, and again until 80% is reached. That should be enough for any device to calculate the timings, no?
