How are you using Codex Control Plane MCP?

I opened Discussions so there is a place for questions, setup notes, and real workflow examples that do not fit cleanly into issues.

Codex Control Plane MCP is still young, and the most useful feedback right now is practical:

• which MCP client you are using;
• whether you run it with Codex Desktop directly, OpenClaw, Hermes, or another orchestrator;
• what kind of long-running Codex tasks you want to make durable;
• where setup feels unclear;
• which diagnostics or workflow states are missing for your use case.

If you hit a bug, please open an issue instead. If you are not sure whether something is a bug or a usage question, start here and we can move it later.

I am especially interested in examples around:

• multi-hour Codex tasks;
• retry-safe codex_submit_task usage;
• Plan Mode workflows;
• pending questions and approvals;
• hook-backed local history;
• Windows setup with Codex Desktop and codex-app-server.

Thanks for trying the project. Real usage reports are more helpful than polished feature requests at this stage.
