For admins: Enabling Rovo Dev in IDE

For users Getting Started

Jira

  1. Install the extension
  2. Authenticate Jira
  3. Create / Open a Jira
  4. Start work

Rovo Dev

  1. Install the extension
  2. Authenticate Rovo
  3. Start work with Rovo Dev
  4. Or chat directly with Rovo Dev

Bitbucket

  1. Install the extension
  2. Authenticate Bitbucket
  3. Create / View / Review PRs

Troubleshooting

Jira

  1. My list of Jiras are stuck a loading state -> Reload your IDE. Re-authenticate.

Rovo Dev

  1. My Rovo Dev won't start up successfully -> Reload your IDE. Re-authenticate.

Bitbucket

  1. My list of PRs won't load -> Confirm you are in a Bitbucket repo (git remote -v). Restart your IDE. Re-authenticate

How to:

Reload IDE

  1. Open the command pallete
  2. Type in "Reload"
  3. Click the "Developer: Reload Window" option

Re-authenticate

  1. Open the command pallete
  2. Type in "Settings"
  3. Click on "Atlassian: Open Settings"
  4. Naviagate to the correct product area. Jira & Rovo Dev can both be found under the Jira tab
  5. Click Logout
  6. Log back in. Note: for Rovo Dev, you want to log back in with an API token

When to start a new session

Start a new session if the current sessions context will not help Rovo Dev complete the next task.

When to prune

Prune the conversation if Rovo Dev is starting to loose context in the current conversation. /prune: Reduce the token size of the current session's message history while retaining context.
