Load "" does not show SD contents

I have a working FAT32 SD card that has a 48k .Z80 game that loads from the Games menu on the title screen.

If I select 48K ZX Spectrum on the title screen and then LOAD "" at the sinclair copyright notice I get a red screen saying SD card has no games found on SD Card add Z80 or SNA file.

I was curious about expected behaviour of LOAD / SAVE as well. I have not put an SD card in my Rainbow yet, but tried SAVEing some code yesterday from 48K, it asked for a tape, I hit enter anyway, and it seemed to just crash / return to the menu. I'll have another play with this and see whether I have more luck when an SD card is inserted.

Good find.

So, load and save currently will trigger loading of tape files.

That red screen probably needs updating as it should be explicit that it can't find and tap files to load.

Z80 and SNA files can't be loaded by this method - though we could probably wire things up so they could be.

Tape loading is pretty rudimentary at the moment. We don't handle any games that involve multi loading (eg load the first level from tape and then load later levels as required).

Save - won't do anything right now - but you can use the snapshot feature for that - just push the "boot" button and you'll get a special menu.

Nice - I'm going to close this issue to keep things nice and neat.

I think a proper think about how to respond to load "" (and save "") is probably required. This may require a complete replacement of the emulator with a more fully functional one.
