aeroftp-cli.exe not in portable release?

I tried to use the mount a folder and it said "Cannot locate aeroftp-cli.exe binary on disk or PATH". I looked and it is not in the portable package. Is there anyway it could be included?

Thanks for the report, @Trihedraf. 🙏 Here's what's going on, including a bit of history.

The aeroftp-cli binary has shipped with the .msi and .exe installers since the beginning (it's listed in the CLI installation docs), and on those builds it's also placed on PATH, which is why it works there. The portable .zip, however, has only ever contained the GUI executable (AeroFTP.exe), so Mount, which calls the CLI, can't find it.

Why the difference: the installers bundle every component automatically, while the portable ZIP is assembled separately and its file list only ever included the GUI app. So the CLI fell outside the portable package. It isn't a size tradeoff (the CLI adds only a few MB), just an oversight in how we build the portable, and we'll fix it.

Right now, two options:

• Use the .msi or .exe installer (CLI included and on PATH), or
• Stay portable and drop aeroftp-cli.exe next to AeroFTP.exe (you can copy it from an installed setup).

Fix (v4.0.8): the portable ZIP will ship aeroftp-cli.exe alongside AeroFTP.exe, so Mount works out of the box there too. We'll also make the docs spell out the portable contents explicitly.

Tracked in #340. We'll update this post once the fix is built and validated. Thanks for flagging it!
