Clean well made suggestion. I just want to say I agree and would love to see omarchy level of polish backed by a atomic base. Great work every one who makes omarchy happen. |

Hey team,
First off — I've never enjoyed a Linux experience as much as I enjoy Omarchy. You have effectively absconded with Apple's old motto and made it a reality. "It just works." The combination of curated updates, conservative defaults, and the clean, minimal footprint already puts it in a great spot for stability-focused users like me. I'm really loving the direction you're taking and I'm excited to see what comes next.
Just wanna float an idea that might fit naturally with the project's goals: Support for Secure Boot + TPM2, and maybe down the road, an atomic/immutable system variant.
Why Secure Boot + TPM2?
A lot of modern hardware essentially assumes these features are part of the baseline. Enabling them would:
I’m not asking for anything exotic — just a path for Omarchy to play nicely with firmware expectations and standard secure boot tooling.
Why an Atomic/Immutable Option?
Omarchy already "feels" halfway there with its update model. AKA no daily Arch chaos, refined and thoughtful updates at regular intervals, etc.. An immutable base could:
There’s precedent in projects like Fedora Silverblue, Bazzite/Aurora, and OpenSUSE MicroOS — but I think Omarchy’s existing approach might actually fit this model even more cleanly.
No expectation, just curiosity
I totally understand this might be a big lift or not part of the vision — just wanted to get it on the radar and hear the team’s thoughts.
Thanks for the fantastic work so far.
— Tony
