Drag-and-Drop from Nautilus to VLC very buggy

I've been trying to drag and drop video files from Nautilus into any media player that will accept said files (VLC, Gnome Video Player, etc.) and have been unsuccessful. It just does not work. I've found a workaround and if I issue the command wl-copy -c before opening VLC I can get VLC to accept dragged files (until I copy something into my clipboard, then it breaks again).

I also can't drag and drop any type of media files from Nautilus to any Flatpaks. I've messed around with the permissions (trying to grant all permissions) but drag and drop does not work. Anybody got it to work?
