@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 30 Oct 01:51
2775135

Mantle 0.3.1 from 2775135. Linux x86_64 GNU CLI (glibc 2.39) and static musl workers. Verify manifest.json and SHA256SUMS before installation.

Mantle 0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 03 Oct 20:11

Mantle 0.2.0 delivers all five reliability and usability improvements from PR #8.

  • Command execution preserves remote exit status and output; missing or indeterminate results fail.
  • Named profiles keep environments separate, with read-only worker diagnostics.
  • Verified Linux x86-64 bundles include the CLI, installer, acceptance runner and static worker helpers; controlled offline upgrades preserve worker data.
  • Compatibility change: mantle stop NAME retains the workspace and private agent home. Use mantle destroy NAME --yes for deletion. restart starts a fresh agent process in the retained workspace; it does not promise conversation resume.
  • mantle-acceptance provides the same repeatable installed-CLI procedure for Claude Code and Codex, with structured metadata, exact-session ownership and preserved failure evidence.

README and public documentation source cover installation, maintenance, migration and qualification. Historical 0.1.4 STOPPING records preserve destructive cleanup intent. Existing workers require matching helpers and the pinned Substrate 0.7.10 runtime. Authenticated model/tool, device-login and visual checks remain explicit operator observations; controlled tests do not establish live authentication.

Download both target archives, manifest.json and SHA256SUMS together. Verify the manifest source against this tag and run the bundled mantle-release verifier before installation. GNU compatibility is limited to the runtime in the manifest; musl worker binaries are static. Full dependency and runtime notices are included.

Verification: tagged-source CI passed all 499 conformance scenarios, static worker builds and complete Linux bundle verification. Both downloaded candidate archives passed the local verifier before publication; the publisher checked all four uploaded asset digests and the exact remote tag afterward. Source commit: 5471055.

Mantle 0.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 03 Oct 07:32

Integrate the final Codex release and acceptance records and refresh the public setup and release documentation.

  • Include the merged 0.1.3 release evidence and subsequent operator-confirmed working attachment.
  • Update the workspace packages, public quickstart and release links to 0.1.4.
  • Keep qualification evidence explicit: authenticated model/tool turns, token refresh and the complete two-agent lifecycle matrix are not all verified.

Runtime behavior is unchanged from 0.1.3. This release retains the attachment-readiness handshake, bounded Substrate 0.7.10 output queue, pinned Codex 0.153.4 and existing confinement.

This is a source release with GitHub source archives and no prebuilt release binaries. Build the laptop CLI and static worker binaries from this tag. Existing worker upgrades require coordinated maintenance; preserve wanted workspace data and avoid interrupting active sessions.

Validation: local formatting, ESS specification, AEP and exact-source documentation build passed. Required exact-candidate CI validates the complete Rust gate, native ESS conformance and all three static musl worker binaries before publication. Updated public documentation source is included; live publication is verified separately.

Mantle 0.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 03 Oct 00:10

Fix Codex attachment startup and sustained terminal output, with updated setup and qualification documentation.

  • Wait for terminal client readiness before replaying launcher output.
  • Adopt the verified Substrate 0.7.10 daemon and compatible exact SDK revision, including bounded asynchronous output-queue reservation. Queue limits and terminal recording policy remain unchanged.
  • Document coordinated CLI/worker upgrades and isolated profiles that preserve existing sessions.

Verified with the published signed Substrate daemon and Codex 0.153.4: two real 100x50 PTY attach/detach/reconnect runs drained 329157 and 346630 bytes, exited successfully with zero CLI stderr, and retained the same Running agent. The disposable session subsequently stopped and workspace deletion was confirmed. This does not establish GUI terminal rendering, completed device login, authenticated model/tool turns or token refresh.

Validation: full Rust formatting/lint/test gate, all 336 native ESS scenarios, specification/planning/docs validation, laptop build, all three static musl worker builds, independent review and exact-candidate GitHub checks passed. See .engineering/reports/attach-startup-2026-10-02/installed-runtime-proof.md and docs/evidence/codex-compatibility.md for evidence and limits.

This is a source release with GitHub source archives and no prebuilt release binaries. Build the laptop CLI and worker binaries from the same tag. Upgrade a worker only when its existing sessions have ended, or provision a separate worker. Public documentation source is included; live website publication is asynchronous.

Mantle 0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 02 Oct 20:20

Fix Rust and native dependency compilation inside confined Mantle sessions, with updated setup and qualification documentation.

  • Select GCC for the Rust linker and C compiler, and G++ for the C++ compiler, for new agent and supplementary execution requests.
  • Preserve the existing filesystem and network confinement boundaries.
  • Document the successful live KubeVirt build check, workspace isolation and gateway checks, explicit Cargo proxy configuration for standalone exec, and remote exit-status handling.
  • Pin the documentation quickstart to this source release.

This is an early source release, with source archives and no prebuilt release binaries. Build the laptop CLI and static worker binaries from the same tag; upgrade workers when no sessions are active.

Real ChatGPT device login, authenticated model/tool turns, token refresh and complete live lifecycle parity remain unverified. Codex uses the same Substrate terminal transport as Claude, which may retain terminal output. See docs/evidence/codex-compatibility.md and the linked acceptance audit for the observed limits.

Validation: 187 top-level Rust tests, all 336 native ESS scenarios, repository lint/specification/documentation checks, and all three x86_64-unknown-linux-musl worker release builds passed locally. Required exact-commit GitHub checks are verified before publication.

Mantle 0.1.1

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 02 Oct 18:39

Fix the static Linux worker build used to deploy Codex-capable Mantle workers.

  • Correct the GNU/musl statfs field type mismatch while preserving the verified-tmpfs requirement for volatile diagnostics.
  • Build all three static worker binaries in CI so this target cannot silently regress.
  • Retain the Codex integration and updated setup documentation introduced in 0.1.0.

Validation: all 187 top-level Rust tests and 336 native ESS scenarios passed, along with the actual x86_64-unknown-linux-musl release build for mantle-egress, mantle-launch and mantle-worker.

This is an early source release with source archives and no prebuilt release binaries. Real ChatGPT device login, authenticated model/tool turns and complete live lifecycle parity remain unverified. Codex uses the same Substrate terminal transport as Claude, which may retain terminal output.

Mantle 0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@b10x-bot b10x-bot released this 02 Oct 18:12

Mantle 0.1.0 introduces Codex sessions alongside Claude Code on Substrate-confined remote workers.

  • Select pinned Codex 0.153.4 and ChatGPT device login in the session manifest; Claude remains the default.
  • Start and attach use the existing Substrate terminal transport for both agents. Codex no longer requires the proposed non-recording capture feature.
  • Keep Codex auth and conversation files in its private workspace home, runtime diagnostics on verified tmpfs, and launcher replay in memory.
  • Provision workers independently of Claude credentials, admit the two fixed Codex subscription destinations, and keep terminal attachments cancellable under backpressure.
  • Updated examples and documentation explain setup, capture behavior and current limits.

This is an early source release. Substrate may retain terminal output; it is not an end-to-end non-recording mode. Real device login, authenticated model/tool turns, token refresh and complete live lifecycle parity remain unverified. The release contains source archives; this repository does not yet publish prebuilt release binaries.
